The food was delicious. The skewers were very well seasoned. They didn’t have peanut sauce or sesame sauce which was a bit disappointing but overall it was flavorful.

Food is good especially when you get to choose the ingredients yourself. One of the most sulit restaurants for me! Chinese malatang is still a new concept to Cebuanos but Yang Hero introduced it beautifully and enticingly. Good ambiance and kudos for amazing interior design!

delicious food. we had the rice bowls set meal. we had pork trotter and braised pork for 238 each already includes a soup. We also tried one drink Hua Yang for only P88. The rice bowls have big servings and didnt even finish it because i was already full. worth the money. also saw other tables's orders and the soup are so big!! good for sharing with friends and families.

I wanted to try this SM Seaside branch since the last time I ate at Yang Hero at IT Park, and it didn't disappoint. Although the interior has the same feel and style, it's quite different from the IT Park location. Some elements are unique here, such as the fake giant Chinese pistache tree that welcomes you at the front and a Chinese dragon made of wires on the ceiling. Some tables are designed to resemble a temple walkway. Overall, I'm impressed with the vibe and atmosphere of this place and how it stands out while still being amazing. We opted for Chinese Malatang since I've always liked the customization option that's the specialty here. I wanted to try their tofu, so I picked some, along with fish balls and different types of noodles. Unfortunately, there were no Chinese noodles available, but I was curious about the potato noodles, so I chose those instead. However, I noticed there wasn't much variety of mushrooms. I was looking for button mushrooms and king oyster mushrooms, but they weren't available. Instead, I got enoki and maitake mushrooms. Overall, it added up to 465 pesos for the 600+ grams of ingredients we picked, and we also opted for the free misua noodles. The wait wasn't long, and the service from the staff was great; they were very helpful. It’s also worth mentioning that you can try on traditional Chinese outfits for pictures, which makes sense since the aesthetic of these branches is perfect for photo ops. When the food arrived, it looked great. Learning from my first trip, we mixed the bowl before digging in so that the Sichuan spicy sauce wouldn't overwhelm the first bite. Overall, it was fantastic! I was surprised that the ordinary fish ball I thought I picked actually had meat inside it. I looked it up, and it’s Fuzhou Fish Balls, which likely contain a mixture of pork and fish. The tofu is egg tofu, which is delicious. My only critique is that I didn’t really like the potato noodles; they were jelly-like and didn’t mix well with the rest of the Malatang, in my opinion. Also, the broth lacked flavor, which is a critique I had at IT Park. I don't remember seeing pepper and chicken powder on our table, which would have been great for spicing up the flavor. Overall, it was a great experience. I do have some critiques, mostly regarding the food. Additionally, if you look at the menu, many items were not available. Although the store promotes their Malatang, they should ideally have only one or two maximum items unavailable, but a lot of options were missing. It felt like a menu from a restaurant that's about to close. The staff was friendly, which was a plus. Still, the atmosphere is what Yang Hero truly thrives on. If they improve the things I mentioned, I would say it could be perfect. I highly recommend people try it out, but don’t expect most items on the menu to be available.

Food is so worth the price and the unexpectedly huge portion (paid PHP 690 for a diner of one). Will be a lot and can be overwhelming if you dine alone, but can fit around three to six diners in my perspective. Also, if you'll be wondering if there's noodles included in the order, it does. You can either have the fresh translucent noodles that's on the counter which will be added to your bowl to be weighed in before you pay or from the packs of dry noodles are available on the ingredients area. You can have both noodles in your bowl, if you like. Had the Sichuan Spicy broth and enjoyed the spice along with the mix-and-match of dumplings, marinated meats (also non-marinated seafood, but didn't add any in mine), Chinese sausages, vegetables (I should've added more. I also only had two pieces of chopped corn on the cob as when I ate there they ran out of corn), tofu (lots of it) and paired it with a cold carbonated peach drink (PHP 88 at the time of writing this review) on the rocks with the assistance of the counter staff who told me that my drink is non-alcoholic and handed me my glass full of ice as a request of mine. Both service and staff were fast, helpful and accommodating. I didn't get the names of the server and receptionist who handled my order and takeout (paid an extra PHP 20 for the large container, which is worth it, plus it was also securely packed all over with cling wrap and came with two pairs of chopsticks). Would definitely come back and dine again. This time, I'll be bringing along more people to share a big and hearty hot bowl with.

Loved the food and atmosphere. Definitely a place to come back to.

The food and the ambiance is very unique! Customer service is well commendable. Will surely visit next time!

Food is amazing, Try spicy wonton soup, braised pork & chines meat bun. Me and my buddy would come back again.
